Weekend mindfulness course Townsville - Connecting to other
This mindfulness course is on the 23rd and 24th March at the Live and Breathe Yoga studio in Townsville between 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
You do not need any previous experience of mindfulness and meditation. In this weekend workshop we explore the following areas>
We focus on four very different aspects of mindfulness including:
- Breathwork exercises to help develop great mental and physical health
- Meditation techniques to help sharpen our attention
- Mindful movement using Chi Kung
- Positive psychology and mindfulness tools to help us connect with others and develop compassion
- Practice of loving kindness meditations
This workshop is a stand alone learning weekend. However it complements the other Townsville workshop we are running on the 23rdand 24thFebruary. You can attend either workshop but there is benefit in attending both. In the first we focus upon breathwork, meditation and self care. In the second we recap the breathwork and meditation parts of the course and then explore compassion training.

The weekend course costs $250. If you wish to attend both courses the cost is $400 for both weekends (16 hours of training)

I lecture in mindfulness and self-care in medicine at the College of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy at James Cook University. I also run emotional intelligence, leadership and mindfulness programs with South 32, CQ University, JCU, pwc, PVW Partners, Queensland Health and the Australian Institute of Marine Sciences.
