Workplace Wellbeing Workshops

Short, interactive sessions designed to recharge teams, reduce stress and build everyday wellbeing — delivered onsite in your workplace or virtually via Zoom.

Led by Andy Roberts, these workshops combine science, movement and mindset to create meaningful, measurable impact. Evidence-based and highly practical, each session is engaging, inclusive and immediately applicable to everyday work life.

Andy teaches evidence-based wellbeing at the College of Medicine and Dentistry, James Cook University, where his published research has shown measurable improvements in resilience and focus among students. His in-house research within the mining industry and care sector has demonstrated similar gains in resilience, attention and stress reduction.

A yoga, breathwork and meditation teacher for more than 20 years, Andy brings an integrated, accessible approach that meets people where they are — whether in an office, classroom or online. As the owner of a 30-practitioner wellbeing clinic, he has spent two decades helping people translate scientific insight into small, sustainable habits that improve energy, clarity and connection at work.

Why This Matters

Supporting personal wellbeing is vital — but it’s only part of the picture. Research shows that while individual interventions can reduce stress and improve wellbeing, the most sustainable outcomes occur when organisations also shape work conditions that allow people to thrive: meaningful roles, supportive leadership, autonomy and psychological safety.

These workshops focus on that individual and interpersonal layer — helping people develop awareness, regulation and daily habits that support focus and recovery. When paired with thoughtful job design and supportive leadership, they help create workplaces where people and performance thrive together.

Drawing on habit science from James Clear’s Atomic Habits, participants learn how to stack small wellbeing behaviours into daily routines. Each workshop combines physiological regulation techniques (such as breathwork and body awareness) with psychological skills that build clarity, balance and resilience.

How It Works

Each wellbeing workshop runs for 60 to 90 minutes and can be tailored to your workplace. Sessions are practical, fun and interactive — no heavy theory, just evidence-informed strategies your team can use straight away.

Workshop themes include:

  • Sleep well – realigning our mind and body rhythms for mental and physical wellbeing.
  • Boundary setting and focus – creating positive cut off between home time and work time and maintaining focus during the day.
  • Self-compassion – understanding self-talk and engaging the self-compassion response to help meet challenges.
  • Embedded mindfulness – making mindfulness a habit during the working day: rest–reset–refocus.
  • Resilience at work – positive pragmatism in the face of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.
  • Emotional agility at work – learning to recognise, learn from and move on from emotions.
  • Building blocks of emotional intelligence at work – what is emotional intelligence? How does it add value at work?
  • Identifying common workplace challenges – self-development focus, self-awareness and understanding emotional triggers at work.
  • Listening well – developing active listening skills.
  • Conflict resolution at work – using a mindfulness-based approach.
  • Coaching feedback – giving and receiving feedback using a mindfulness-based approach.
  • Move well and energise your home office – why 10,000 steps a day isn’t just good for wellbeing but helps with creativity, focus and effectiveness at work.
  • Building wellbeing systems at home and work – tips and tools to help create new healthy habits and stick to them using habit stacking and identity-based goals.
  • Stretch well and energise – inserting micro energy breaks into your day.
  • Focus well – practising meditation techniques and reducing clutter.
  • Imposter syndrome and other self-limiting beliefs – recognising self-talk, its impacts and strategies to develop self-compassion.
  • Emotional contagion and empathy at work – strategies to cultivate positivity and empathy in a team.
  • Bias and noise at work – what are heuristics? When do they add value and when do they undermine effectiveness, wellbeing and collaboration?
  • Mental agility at work – how to improve the quality of decision making and collaborate better.

Workshops can be delivered as stand-alone sessions or combined into a tailored wellbeing series for your organisation.

Participant Experience

Sessions are inclusive, energising and grounded in evidence. Participants explore the physiology and psychology of stress, experiment with simple techniques, and leave with practical tools they can integrate immediately — a few mindful breaths before a meeting, a short movement reset between calls, or a reflection practice to close the day with clarity.

Each session includes take-home resources and follow-up suggestions to support habit formation and longer-term behavioural change.
